Well, there is no denying I have changed a lot.
Mind, body, soul, and style.
If you didn’t know, I started as a style and beauty blogger. However, I wasn’t happy, and i began to realize the damage that had been done to my body and the environment. That is when I started this sustainable lifestyle journey. I feel I am still fashionable, on days when i have stuff to wear. I now have this thrifty/artsy vibe and I love it a lot!
So now lets take a look through my past, Get ready to cringe…
Oh no. The 2000’s chunky highlights are coming back to haunt me! At the end of the day, I was still very trendy for an 8 year old. We were going to Mexico, so that is my travel outfit.
Now this outfit was actually cute! I LOVE this picture! I am pretty sure my mom picked out this outfit for me, but it is great.
I swear my elementary years were only made up of chunky highlights, A-line bobs, feathers, and peace signs. Well, the peace sign thing never really stopped, but it has gotten less tacky…
Oh sixth grade uniforms, how I hated you. I pushed the limits so hard (a.k.a. my peace sign socks and clip in hair). Also, I believe this is where my converse obsession began.
Now here I look cute, except for the giant Teletubbie flower on my head! I guess you live and you learn. LOL
My birthday in seventh grade, and I’m still awkward. Those were my favorite shoes, though. I didn’t get rid of them until last year!
In eighth grade, the uniforms were no longer a thing!! I then began to experiment with crop tops over tank tops.
Oh the grunge phase, how I miss you! I killed this part of my life! I embraced the music and the style! I was such a rebel, in style because I never broke any rules.
And then I began high school. I was super scared, but I had a had a whole new wardrobe to kick butt in. This probably wasn’t ethical, but I didn’t know!
The came sophomore year and I was still rockin’ those converse! I wore this outfit all the time. I had an obsession with bomber jackets, too.
I started my blog sophomore year as well, but I was trying too hard to be someone I was not. I wasn’t happy, and I definitely wasn’t being mindful of what I was buying.
Now I am here! I’m still figuring out this whole sustainable fashion thing, but I am loving life so much more.
It took me a lot of support, love, thrift shopping, and YouTube videos to get me where I am today. Everyday I am learning something new and growing to become an even better version of myself.
What I am hoping you will get from this is everyone has to start somewhere. I would have never thought I would be an advocate for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle 5 years ago. If you want to make a difference, go for it. You will never know what you can do unless you try.
I hope I gave you something to think about today. I hope you have an amazing day.
Until next time!
